Re: insanely slow Win8.1 + VS2012 as a guest OS

In my case HD performance was quite slow I guess. In device manager it showed 90-100% for HDD quite often. I only have one HD, so cannot put it on a separate drive. In any case, when there is no load, and the guest has 4GB of ram I expect that right click wouldn't take seconds in Visual Studio.

Yesterday I converted my vmdk drive to vhd and tried Hyper-V for the first time. Performance is better (I connected to it via RDP), at least it doesn't make me count seconds every time I do right click or something like that.
